Montpellier, located in the Hérault department, has a tourism development agency called Hérault Tourisme. This agency, which is a non-profit organization, is available to provide information, services and assistance in organizing outings or stays in the region. Hérault Tourist Office advisors are also available to answer questions about specific destinations.

Here you find all the tourist information on beaches, boating, nature, heritage, ecotourism, accommodation, but also good plans and ideas. The structure includes tourism information from four sites: Cape Town, the seaside resort; the city of Agde at the crossroads where the Canal du Midi and the Herault return to the Sea; Grau d'Agde, Mediterranean village; La Tamarissière, pine forest by sea.

It took two years of work to transform the Museum of Prehistory (created in 1952) into a museum of art and archaeology. 3,500 objects from the excavations carried out in the surrounding scrublands, most of them dating from the Neolithic period, are displayed in twelve themed showcases. There are flint and bone tools, ceramics, arrows, etc., as well as a variety of other objects. Projected films explain how they were made and a touch screen displays clips.

Situated at 988 metres above sea level, this lookout reveals a superb view of the Espinouse, a wild landscape dug from deep ravines: on the right, Aret mountain on the left, the two Rocheux of Aret.
