Budding explorers and geologists are seduced by this amazing site. A former open-cast coal mine, it has a beautiful collection of exceptional fossils at its heart. During the visit, curious visitors will have the opportunity to discover an exhibition of plant fossils from the Carboniferous period as well as a multitude of species reproduced in life-size. After watching a short video on the mineralization of plants, a little train will take them on a journey of discovery of our world as it was more than 300 million years ago.

Opening time and information on THE FOSSIL FOREST

Open from April to November, opening hours vary according to the season. Free up to 2 years. Adult : 6,80 €. Child (from 2 to 6 years old): 4 € (from 6 to 12 years old: 5,80 €). Group (15 people): 5.50 € (more than 30 people: 4.70 €). Credit card not accepted. Tourism & Handicap Label. Children welcome (excavation workshop). Guided tour. Shop.
