Since 1977, Nîmes cinephiles have had just one address: Le Sémaphore. This local cinema, a veritable cultural center, shows independent films in VO, documentaries, children's films... In its 6 cinemas, you can see a number of French and international films, both topical and less so. The cinema regularly organizes thematic mini-festivals and previews, often in the presence of the director, author or actor. The cinema houses a cafeteria serving homemade tarts, salads and desserts every day!

In the Besson family, we don't do things by halves and it is now Lucas' turn to take the helm of this new festive place. The Galion looks great with its old rigging mast on the deck and its superb tavern inside. After feasting on homemade tapas or well-cooked dishes, DJs, live concerts and shows will take place. Behind the bar, the shakers shake and the atmosphere rises to a crescendo, we have fun, we dance, we laugh, in short, we have a good time. An atypical place where all generations party together.

The Hippopotamus chain was created in 1968 in France for large meat eaters. Here, the meat-lovers find something to eat in quantity. Often considered a bit expensive, the dishes satisfy predators who can choose between different French races (charolaise, aubrac, salers, blonde in Aquitaine) and various cuts for carpaccios, beef tartars, steaks, steak, tabs. Apart from this, the menu of menus in its main lines is as usual based around grilled and red meats. Atelier Burger offers bespoke burgers in which you choose everything from bread to meat. For once the Bureau is not moving backwards… Franck'has been managing the bar for four years. In this brasserie in the very beautiful décor, many atmospheres blend. Professional customers in the week and during the day, place of exit for a part of youth "in the evening, and family on weekends, there are for all ages. On the map, calf's paupiette in the county, beans and leeks, or grilled ham, rice and piperade. The office also has a wide selection of wines and a wide range of beers. A brasserie without prétention, frills and like you love them. Please do not confuse this place with the old "At the Office", which is now a concert pub called the "London Tavernel".

The Casino Joa d'Argelès is a spacious slot machine room with a view of the Albères massif, a terrace, a restaurant facing the sea, where the chef concocts a bistro-style cuisine using fresh local produce. Much more than a casino, it is an enchanting place! On the gaming side, the one-armed bandits, of course, but also a blackjack table and an English roulette table, both electronic. The casino also takes care of your business dinners, birthdays, weddings... in this exceptional setting or in its seminar room.

This wine and beer bar is located on a small quiet square where a good part of the terrace is spread out. Inside, it looks like a large tavern made of red briquettes, cement tiles on the floor, a large counter with 5 Belgian beer pumps and 30 homemade beers and wine barrels everywhere for decoration. They organise concerts on some Fridays. And for a better feast with friends, Jérémy also offers boards to share, baked camemberts with dried fruit or herbs and desserts for gourmets.

L'Argo, as it's known here, is a veritable institution. People come here for a drink overlooking the harbour, to relax on the cosy terrace or to sip a signature cocktail. Since Guillaume and Tommy took over the reins of the family bar, l'Argo has become a port staple. The premises have been given a trendy makeover, and the new in-house tapas menu gets the job done: trio of mini burgers, crunchy chicken, beef or salmon tartare, supion kebabs, salads... Mondays in July and August feature live concerts and DJ nights.

After wine bars, beer and mineral oysters, here comes the age of the oxygen bar, the latest avatar at the trendy cafés. So connected that obviously it likes many gay guys and their friends! In Nîmes, it was on the Esclafidous Square that this new trend blew the idea to Salim Watwat, the manager of the establishment. From the entrance, we discover the oxygen machines, the kinds of large central units equipped with a casque helmet… No, no, you're not intubé and you don't think one second to a hospital, which is complicated! For maximum efficiency, the session lasts 20 minutes, a moment of relaxation, where you can gently breathe fresh air from oil smell essential to assainissantes properties. Of course it does not replace a real air bowl but certainly boosts it! The O 2 LA is a bar-restaurant that benefits from the inventiveness of a chef who has worked at Alexandre (traditional traditional menu with fresh products). Another reason to go? The hotel was very close to the city Centre and the city centre. You breathe!

In the afternoon, comfortably installed in sofas and armchairs, we come to drink tea, coffee or mulled wine. Afterwards, you can enjoy typical dishes and until very late you can taste craft beers from North and South Catalonia, and discover the "archaeological" wines elaborated by J-M according to recipes written in the 14th century by Arnaud de Villeneuve, doctor and alchemist. Sheltered from the main roads, nestled in a small street, Katia's store offers a place of sweet and savory delicacies, a tea room with a resolutely contemporary design and an artist's glass roof allowing you to follow the conception of the creations live.You will be able to taste banoffees, chocolate tarts, lemon praline/hazelnut tarts, caramel/chocolate babka...You will also be able to enjoy the lunch formula including a dish and a dessert with tarts, wraps and salads according to the menu of the moment.

The world of Chapeau Thé is full of smiles and delights. It is the perfect opportunity to spend a convivial moment around gourmet proposals. In a bucolic setting worthy of a fairy tale, Marion and Mathieu orchestrate the place like virtuosos, so much so that the address has become a must in the town. A lively meeting place, the pie shop is the setting for numerous workshops, the home of a grocery corner and a cave of delights. He offers selected wines from here and elsewhere. To complete this gustatory journey, platters of Iberian and Catalan charcuterie as well as mature cheeses are offered on the slate. The good mood is there with a musical program that evolves throughout the night and animations that give rhythm to this warm house.

Everything is said in the name of the establishment. Here, jazz is king! In the background, always. Especially on weekends, with the arrival of regional jazz groups (free entry generally). If the place is only open 3 days a week, it prefers to offer quality rather than quantity and the owner, passionate about this musical trend, has made his choice (a choice we totally approve of, by the way). Better to swing less often but better, one could say... Which of course does not prevent you from having a drink or even a meal.

This restaurant is worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster. Between Jack Sparrow's pirate and galion tavern, the brand is picturesque, relaxed and musical. This bar is one of the most atypical places in the resort. Daniel and his team, all proudly wearing their pirate clothes, go to this place with relaxed smile and smile. An urban planning project created a few years ago, Place Montcalm is a good fit for this neighborhood bar. Les Deux Mondes was able to install its large terrace on the central median and on both sides of the semi-pedestrian street.
