Also marketplace, the Place Carnot is the gathering place of the Marseillanais. A beating heart of the village, it was covered in 1310 by a wooden building and replaced in 1808 by a frame bordered in Venetian with arches built in black basaltic stones of Agde.

The monument as we know was completed in 1984.

La Place Carnot abrite la Place Couverte à Marseillan-Ville. C'est avant tout une place agréable et animée à l'entrée de la vieille ville et à une distance raisonnable du port de plaisance. Elle mérite un petit détour, d'autant plus que différents monuments historiques se trouvent à proximité.
