A regional benchmark! The Limouches drying room and workshops are located on the pass of the same name, at an altitude of 1,000 m. The company was founded in 1962 by Alex Chomarat, with his son Gilles taking over in 1993. The house's flagship product remains the caillette, a small round pâté with herbs and spices. Le Père Craquant was a famous pastry chef from Saillans, whose real name was Jean Eynard, who operated in the 1920s. Gourmet discovery of a Dauphiné biscuit factory created by Maurice Louvat in 1954 and taken over by the children Maryvonne and Gérard Louvat. Cakes, pastry meringues, coconut rocks, meringue macaroons, dry petits fours, Dauphinois shortbread, chocolate chip palets, marmalade glasses... are made by hand according to traditional recipes. Didier Morion, a passionate independent winegrower, manages his 11 ha of vineyards with a masterful hand. His first vintage was born in 1993. Since then, he has never ceased to improve the quality of his products, which are made with the help of state-of-the-art techniques. AOP Condrieu with the Vents d'Anges or a sweet viognier with the cuvée Maëllyse. 5,5 ha of the domain are in Saint Joseph, roussane and marsanne grapes, and produce the cuvée "Cranilles". Being a winegrower in the Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie A.O.P. is a passion that has driven the Niero family for 4 generations. Rémi Niero takes care of the estate with passion. The vineyard is entirely hand-worked and certified High Environmental Value. Result: two of the best grands crus. Wonderful Condrieu wines: Chéry and Ravines. Special Cuvée Héritage, the quintessence of the Domaine's know-how. In Côte-Rôtie, Domaine Niero owns 2 hectares where Syrah is produced, a unique grape variety, offering intense aromas and a rare elegance.

Bernard Levet, following four generations of winegrowers, has devoted himself since 1983 to the unique but renowned Côte-Rôtie. His 4.5 ha of vines - under integrated viticulture - are divided into 11 plots, the majority of which have been planted for more than 35 years, on the sites of "Landonne" - cuvée Maestria -, "Chavaroche" - cuvée La Péroline. Cuvée Améthyste of a beautiful intensity. Tannins well present. Aromas of red fruits (blackcurrant, raspberry, blackberry) and animal spices (musk, leather) characterize this côte-rôtie which only needs to age.

At the head of this family estate we find Carmen and Jean-François well supported by their sons Liz and Fabien. The vineyard is divided into two parts: in the blonde producing a soft, high wine from 18 to 24 months. The other side is in-brune and produces a stronger wine.

A 10-hectare family estate run by brothers Patrick and Christophe that produces Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu. The Condrieu Côte Châtillon is partly barrel-aged. It's a wine with golden highlights, smooth and candied. Parcels on the Rozier and Rochins hillsides produce the bulk of the Côte-Rôtie. The former is a fine wine with aromas of red fruits and spices, while the cuvée Les Rochins is well-balanced, with vanilla and red fruit flavors and a long finish. And let's not forget Sensation du Nord: a Viognier and a Syrah at the very edge of the appellation.

This small area of 2 ha offers a toast-toast 2004 "La Brocarde" coast, which is situated in the upper-brune, high 24 to 26 months in a new oak barrel. A toast 2005, assembly of different plots on the appellation, high in oak drum for 18 months.

A fine family story, since the Barge family have been winegrowers since 1860! Julien took over the family business in 2019. He cultivates 5.70 ha in the Côte-Rôtie appellation, from which the Cuvée Duplessy and Côte-Brune are made, in a thoughtful tradition of respect for nature and "partnership" with plants and animals. Also 1 ha of Condrieu and 1.50 ha of red and white Saint Joseph. Four spacious guest rooms in a beautiful village house complete the address, with swimming pool and terrace.

Georges Vernay was one of the emblematic "figures" of the vineyard. Condrieu owes its fame to him. For many years, he defended his vines planted on steep slopes so that they would be recognized for their true value. His daughter, Christine, has taken over the business, which is now fully certified as an organic vineyard. The cuvée Les Chaillées de l'Enfer is made from 2 hectares of 40 year old vines. The flagship of the reds are the superb Côte-Rôtie wines, including "Maison Rouge", a harmonious wine with a beautiful finesse in the mouth.

In 1872, Félix Bigallet opened a syrup and liqueur factory in Lyon for cafés and inns. In 1885, in order to expand, he moved to Virieu. The company prospered, in particular with the famous "Bigallet", an exceptional lemonade made from lemon peel, colorless and a real nectar... Bigallet is recognized for its know-how as a liqueur maker, with genepi liqueurs, brandies and marcs, old liqueurs... In the shelves of this boutique, we discover with great pleasure an astonishing selection of wines, especially in great wines, but still of the sirops syrups and juices, the amazing grocery products, such as those pasta that will change your ordinary, sauces, mustards, but also sweets and other delicacies with the marshmallows and the house nougat. In the heart of the Lyonnais Mountains, a bakery as once, artisanal. Pastries and pure butter pastries are delicious. Francine and Patrice Bertin offer you a selection of assorted breads cooked in a true wood kiln: traditional, organic, special breads… Their specialties: the flute and the Polka wand, dusted of rye flour before cooking, giving them taste and quality attire. But also the basket of special breads, the bench bread or the campagne bread of 3 kg (4,80   €), specialty of the chef, a cook-pastry converted to the bakery. The Bertin are members of the "bread lovers" association who work the old bread. You can also order their friends, rye or forézienne pies.

The Monday morning calf market is renowned throughout the region. The tradition of markets goes back to 1497, with the authorization given by Charles VIII to Count Jean de Saint-Symphorien to establish a market every Monday and 3 fairs per year (11 June, 29 September, 6 December). Since 1972, this market concerns calves from 8 days to 5 weeks old. The traders present are only allowed to enter the sales area after the whistle at 10am. By 10.15am, the sales are over and the farmers take their calves to the traders' trucks.

Located at the Col du Fût d'Avenas, at an altitude of 762 m, the honey house offers you the fruit of its bees' gathering: more than 10 varieties of honey extracted and put in jars, directly on the farm. A magnificent estate, undoubtedly the finest in Beaujolais and one of the most beautiful in France. With its French garden, the work of Le Nôtre, this château, built by Jules-Hardouin Mansart, has retained its superb appearance over the years. It is the largest single estate in Beaujolais (400 ha). Not only the château, but also its cellar and magnificent ^18th-century wine storehouse (108 m long) are classified as Historic Monuments. The estate alone produces 8% of the total production of brouilly, an exceptional brouilly made exclusively from gamay grapes, in keeping with tradition.

Since 2001, Dominique Guillard has been producing red, rosé and white Beaujolais wines on 15 hectares, thanks to integrated viticulture, with a focus on quality while respecting the environment. The Bereziat family has a 15-hectare estate in the heart of the Brouilly Cru, where they practice sustainable farming and focus on the production of quality wines. With a vineyard composed mainly of old vines, the estate produces AOC Beaujolais, Beaujolais Villages, Brouilly and Moulin à Vent in the Gamay grape variety, as well as a white wine in the Viognier variety. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is bottled at the estate. Reception in one of the 3 guest rooms.

450 geese, guinea fowl, rabbits, pigs, sheep calves here. On this big farm, we love to welcome and explain. You can do your shopping for poultry and rabbits to cook but also for products prepared by Sylvie: ., gras, candied and many other delicacies. Note: campers are welcome for free on the farm, where they can enjoy a water and electricity connection.

Vines have been cultivated here for 5 generations and it is because they are convinced of the benefits of biological culture that Martine and Jean-Paul have converted the 9 ha of the area to this mode of production. Everything is carefully thought out to get the best from this land they love. Every year, 25 harvests, most of which are used by people, join them for the first step in the manufacture of wine, and then it is the family traditions that take over, to give these quality morgons that they offer you.

A passionate and Friendly wine grower, Jacky Natural proposes morgon, flower, chiroubles, beaujolais-villages red and rosé, and burgundy white chardonnay. The know-how is based on the choice of the white gamay black gamay for the grape variety and the most important planting density in the world (9 to 10 000 feet/ha), demanding workforce, but essential to achieve a high quality level. The area of Fontriante, on 11 ha, has belonged to the same family for four generations, which have been able to take care of the vines, well exposed, at mid-coteau, between 250 and 400 m. Once a year they are ploughed to bury the only organic fertilizer and allow good ventilation on the ground. A rain of medals each year rewards the know-how of the wine grower. Various wine tastings are planned for special customers to make known and offer their wines, in several regions of France, to ask for them!
