The Auberge Rouge, located after Lanarce on the edge of the road, seems to be so welcoming for travellers… And yet, this place made famous by a novel, which was brilliantly adapted to the cinema twice - with the excellent and irresistible Fernandel first, then with a humour certainly grinding by Claude Autan-Lara with the Splendid team -let's not just leave good ones. memories of the imprudent who dared to enter the last century! Indeed, it was the place of sordid crimes that would défrayèrent the chronicle.

At the beginning, the history of the Auberge Rouge is "counter-revolutionary". Its owners, the Martin-Blanc, had been part of the bands of Chouans who were fighting the few gendarmes of Judge Enjolras, the Montagnes of the Mountains. But these troublemakers seemed to have subsided with the return of the Monarchy. So they wanted this Inn, which seemed to be a haven of peace and rest for the traveler harassé by a long road in desolate places and sorry. The problem for these travellers was that once they got rid of their stock exchange they were coming out of the hostel only by the chimney! The armoury lasted until a refugee in the barn denounced the case to the gendarmes. Owners and their home did not escape the guillotine - they were executed in front of the macabre Inn, at the very place of their packages, in 1833. It is here, overlooking the city, that the remains of the feudal castle of the dukes of Bourbon and Urfé are found. Nearby, we find the chapel Notre-Dame-du-Château, Gothic style (of the xivth century and Gothic style where the funeral of Anne d 'Urfé was held, which was under Charles IX third royal bailli of the Forez and gentleman of the king.

Built in the th century with the permission of King Henri III by Claude Villars, Captain and Squire de Condrieu. Since 1832, he belongs to the Roque family. The building has been listed in the Historical Monuments Inventory since the late 1980 s.

Forgotten from the cultural and economic heritage of the canton of Bourg-Saint-Andéol since the 1956 frost, the olive oil industry has found a new lease of life with the birth of the Lou Mouli d'Oli mill in 2003. Located in the heart of the Rhône valley, a stone's throw from the Ardèche Gorges, it produces several ranges of olive oils and other products derived from olives grown on the farm. You will discover the different stages of olive oil production during a personalised visit and the whole range of olive oils, seed oils, olive purées and table olives from the house during a tasting in the heart of the mill. The store offers Lou Mouli d'Oli branded products and a selection of references directly from producers. Finally, the Bourg-Saint-Andéol mill crushes your olives (private or professional) from the end of October to the end of December (from 100 kg).

Manufrance's premises are one of the most remarkable traces of the industrial past of Saint-Etienne. Built Cours Fauriel by the architect Léon Lamaizière for the arms manufacturers Etienne Mimard and Pierre Blachon, these buildings constitute a real industrial palace, visited in the past by many industrialists and heads of state... Manufrance then became famous all over the world for its various items sold by mail order: weapons and bicycles then home, leisure, fishing... After a glorious history, Manufrance closed permanently in 1981.
