Today, Yves Spannagel maintains with his wife Claudine and his children Jérôme and Marie, a tradition that goes back more than four centuries: the love of wine. To cultivate the memory of past generations, a family tree proudly stands at the entrance of the cellar! With a degree in oenotourism, Marie offers you a playful journey around the five senses based on photos of her mother Claudine and her grandparents' childhood memories. As far as winemaking is concerned, this family business favours authenticity rather than mass production. While the know-how remains traditional, the family combines a touch of modernity by offering an online shop where you will find little marvels: pinot blanc Tradition 2017 (Selection Guide Hachette des Vins 2020), riesling Grand Cru Wineck Schlossberg 2017 (Selection Bettane+Desseauve 2020), pinot gris Grand Cru Kaefferkopf 2018, without forgetting a gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives 2017 which is to be damned!

The Mallo family discreetly exercises the art of winemaking with incomparable style and brilliance. This charming 7-hectare family estate has been certified Bio Ecocert since 2014. It has beautiful plots of land on the Rosacker and Mandelberg Grands Crus, as well as on the Muhlforst (future ^1er Cru), where the vinification process favours finesse and the expression of the terroir. What can be added to these wines adorned with pretty labels is the freshness and naturalness that can be found in all the vintages. Dominique Mallo is happy to welcome you, preferably by appointment, for a tasting full of flavours. During your visit, you will be able to discover a Crémant d'Alsace composed of a delicious blend of pinot noir, pinot blanc and auxerrois (rated 89/100 by Wine Enthusiast), a Riesling Grand Cru Rosacker Vieilles Vignes 2017 and a superb Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Rosacker Vendanges Tardives 2016.

New and small (3 hectares), this domain (in the process of organic conversion) was created from scratch by Julien Minery, son of a wine cooperator and a young winegrower eager to produce quality wines in the strict respect of nature. He welcomes you in his cellar, which is located in an old garage that has been nicely renovated. During your tasting, you will discover surprising wines, such as the Pinot Gris Mystérieux, the Riesling Grand Cru Mandelberg and the Gewurtztraminer Cuvée Spéciale, with very original labels.

This venerable family of winegrowers has been established in Ammerschwihr for several generations. Its members have been able to transmit their passion for vines and wine from father to son with intelligence and foresight. Here, of course, there are superb Grands Crus Kaefferkopf, including the delicious Gewurztraminer, which proves to be an excellent aperitif and reception wine. We also discover with pleasure the fruit of the work of Maurice Schoech's sons, Sébastien and Léon, in a typical tasting cellar. The vines spread over 8 hectares are cultivated in a sustainable way: they produce specialities very well represented by the Cuvée Justin (a terroir wine aged in the woods, dry, powerful and structured) or the Pinot auxerrois Vieilles Vignes nicely fresh and easy to drink. Add to that a pinot noir matured in oak barrels with superb red fruit notes, as well as a gewurztraminer Sélection de Grains Nobles which turns out to be a fabulous wine to keep.

Created 22 years ago, this sign has five outlets in Alsace, including two in Colmar. Located on the edge of Rouffach Road, the Colmar Sud Vinothèque is very easy to reach by car. Open to individuals and professionals, it offers some 1,200 references of Alsatian, French and foreign wines in a space of 300 m ². You will be able to share your passion for oenology with attentive wine dealers. Good choice of beer (those of the brasserie Sainte-Cru with friendly labels and many German foams). On the lagoons also a superb range of whiskies and rhums, as well as glassware and carafes. Vinothèque also offers a wide selection of soft drinks and is one of the few Alsatian signs to sell mineral waters in returnable glass bottles! Note that you can request a personalized quote in anticipation of a particular event (birthday, wedding, cocktail…) and that more specific products can be obtained on order: Exceptional whiskies, vintage cognacs of your year of birth, Champagne Mathhors… Finally, the Vinothèque offers various other services: Pressure rental rental for large debits or mini drums of 6 liters, tables or benches, gift boxes custom made.

This estate is located in the former tithe court of the Grand Provost of Strasbourg Cathedral. Its 14 ha are spread over beautiful plots in the Grands Crus Eichberg, Pfersigberg and Steinert. At the cellar, taste: Muscat 2018 (gold medal Gilbert & Gaillard), Gewurztraminer Vieilles Vignes 2022 (superb wine for ageing), Crémant d'Alsace Brut (gold medal Concours des Vins de Colmar). Two gîtes (2-5 people) are located above the cellar.

The Rouffach agricultural and viticultural high school has been a fertile breeding ground for talented winegrowers since its creation 150 years ago. It is an exception in the regional educational landscape: it is the only one to bear the label "viticultural". It teaches oenology and viticulture from the second year of secondary school to the BTS. The Domaine de l'École has 14 hectares of AOC land, including 2.9 hectares of Grand Cru Vorbourg, certified AB and managed according to the principles of integrated production. The Schaffhaeuser family cultivates 11 hectares of vines, some of which are on the terroirs of the Grands Crus Hengst and Steingrubler. The estate practices integrated farming. Most of the vinification is done in stainless steel tanks. The harvest is 100% manual, the grapes are pressed whole and the wines are aged on fine lees. The domain vinifies the whole range of Alsace wines. Beautiful Crémant Émotion Brut, racy Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives 2015, deep Pinot Noir Réserve 2022.

Union of 2 wine-producing families settled for several centuries in Zellenberg, this 10 ha estate is managed in AB and biodynamic methods by Christian Herblin to make the song of the earth and the wines heard. Its grapes are spread over 6 communes and 4 Grands Crus, harvested by hand and vinified separately. The range of Alsatian grape varieties is produced here, as well as Crémants d'Alsace, Vendanges Tardives and Sélections de Grains Nobles. The winegrower also raises bees: find this Alsatian honey at the domain. A stork's nest overlooks the pretty gîte for 4.

HVE and Terra Vitis certifications, agroecology... Huber and Bléger cultivate 30 hectares of sandy-granitic soil with a deep respect for the vines and the soil. Fresh and floral wines on the Geissberg and the Burgreben, exceptional Riesling on the Schlossreben. Manual harvesting and stainless steel vats in order to best serve the aromas of each grape variety. The only exception: the Saint-Hippolyte Rouge, aged 12 months in oak barrels (test the 2021 vintage). Nice award in April 2019: the 2016 Riesling Grande Réserve elected "best dry white wine in the world" (Vinofed award).

The Wackenthaler family estate has been listed since 1750. Today, it is distinguished by its strictly limited use of insecticides and treatment products and the total absence of chemical fertilizers. Its different plots of vines are spread over 3 communes: Ammerschwihr, Kientzheim and Colmar. In its magnificent cellar, you will be able to discover still wines from the 7 Alsatian grape varieties, the famous Grands Crus Kaefferkopf and Schlossberg, but also Late Harvest and Sélection de Grains Nobles. Not forgetting an excellent Crémant d'Alsace and 7 eaux-de-vie, especially the marc de gewurztraminer. Brilliant illustration of a know-how through which passion and authenticity are expressed!

The Stentz saga began in 1919, then Aimé Stentz increased the vineyard from 4 to 12 hectares around 1960. Since 1979, his sons Louis and Étienne have converted the vineyards to organic farming. In 1994, they created the famous Vicus Romain cuvée, a reference to the foundations of a Roman stopover site discovered by their father in 1969 during excavation work on parcels of the Grand Cru Hengst. Nice cellar with sculpted walls. The tasting is free and is accompanied by a visit to the cellar, remarkable for its century-old wooden tuns.

The estate has been cultivating the vines in accordance with the rules of organic farming since 2004, with manual harvesting. It has plots on sites with a varied geology: Rotenberg in Bergheim, limestone soil that produces elegant wines; Goldesch in Bergheim, marl and limestone soil, and on the Altenberg Grand Cru in Bergheim, red marl and limestone, very stony, for wines with a very beautiful aromatic expression and Sonnenglanz, marl and limestone, very stony, with a southeast exposure, for wines with ripe and fine aromas. The estate produces all Alsatian grape varieties, with the exception of Muscat. The winegrowers also offer Edelzwicker, including a Prestige cuvée enriched with noble grape varieties, crémants-d'alsace, Late Harvest of Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurztraminer, which can also be found in Sélection de Grains Nobles

The Hausherrs practice viticulture as close to the environment as possible: AB, Demeter and Ecocert certifications, biodynamic viticulture, hand harvesting, working the soil with a draft horse and unfiltered wines. These efforts produce, on 3,9 ha in Eguisheim, natural and balanced blends, with dreamy names and surrealist labels: Colline Céleste, Jardin Là-Haut, Sentier au Sud, Rouge Optique (with a cherry color and a pleasantly tannic structure). These are wines of character that reflect the personality of Heidi and Hubert. Furnished gîtes for resting.

Supported by their son Sébastien, Jean-Louis and Fabienne Mann manage this 12.5-hectare family estate, which is certified AB and biodynamic. Controlled yields, venerable vines (50 years old), plots in the Pfersigberg and Eichberg Grands Crus. Hand-harvested in crates, long pressing, use of indigenous yeasts, aged 8 to 18 months on lees. These efforts earned the Domaine the Pépite de l'année Trophy at the Gault & Millau Wine Tour in April 2017. A fine accolade!

Since the 17th century, the Simonis estate has been passed down from generation to generation. It has been managed for more than 20 years now by Jean-Marc Simonis, assisted by his wife. The estate cultivates the range of 7 Alsatian grape varieties as well as the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf, a jewel of the Ammerschwihr vineyard. It is a small farm of 5 ha which wisely produces fine and balanced wines by practicing sustainable viticulture. Crémants d'Alsace are produced in white from Auxerrois as well as in rosé from pinot noir. Wines from the terroir of the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf are made in Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and even in a blend of both in order to combine the freshness and balance of Riesling with the aromatic palette of Gewurztraminer. The estate participates in the "Picnic at the Winegrower's" operation, which takes place every Whit Monday. The opportunity to taste its pinot noir, its Grands Crus Kaefferkopf, and, why not, the grape juice produced by the house based on white pinot and muscat !

This beautiful domain (17 ha) was born from the alliance of two winegrowing families from Wettolsheim. It is now managed in biodynamic way by Sophie, Maxime and their mother Geneviève. The vines are spread over 5 locations (Rosenberg, Leimental, Pfleck, Clos Sand, Herrenweg) and 3 Grand Crus (Pfersigberg, Steingrubler and Hengst). Founded in 1698, this wine estate is managed by Jacques Sipp with the help of his wife Laura and his daughter Carolyn. Certified organic, this 24 hectare estate has parcels on the terroirs of the great Rosacker and Osterberg vintages. A visit to the cellar will allow you to taste a fresh and fruity Rosé d'Alsace, a pure and mineral Riesling Vieilles Vignes, a dry and tasty Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rosacker. Want to prolong the pleasure? 5 very comfortable gîtes (2-5 pers.), with an unobstructed view of the vineyard, are at your disposal on the Sipp-Mack estate.

This attractive family estate cultivates 10.6 ha in Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr and Kientzheim. A significant proportion is classified as Grands Crus Rosacker and Schlossberg. Jean-Luc, his wife Anne and their son Jérôme (a graduate in oenology) cultivate this terroir organically. Disease and pest control is natural. They present a superb range of wines fully expressing their original terroir: Riesling Lieu-dit Haguenau 2021, tasty Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Rosacker 2018 and Crémant d'Alsace Extra-Brut so deliciously festive!

Winegrowers from father to son since 1624, Alphonse Meyer et Fils produce wines, Alsace crémants and spirits on 13 hectares. Let yourself be tempted by the Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives 2020 which melts in the soul. Eaux-de-vies also available: Marc de Gewurztraminer aromatic, the emblematic Quetsche d'Alsace and the Myrtille des Vosges... Since 1840, the Zimmer House has been making delicious wines in Riquewihr. At the helm, Régine and her daughters Laura and Carole. Grands Crus, Vendanges Tardives or Sélection Grains Nobles will awaken your senses. Taste the Pinots Gris Sélection Grains Nobles 2017 or the Muscat Vieilles Vignes 2019. There are still a few bottles of Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg 2013 (gold medal Riesling of the world): to good hearers... Note, at the bottom of the pink Vosges sandstone steps, the ^16th century tasting cellar with its cob ceiling dedicated by the grandfathers.

Almost half of the planted area of this 18 ha estate is located on the terroirs of the Grands Crus Kessler, Saering, Kitterlé and Spiegel. The Dirler-Cadés attribute the crystalline character of their wines to the siliceous soils of these eroded sandstone terroirs of the Bundsandstein. All parcels are cultivated biodynamically since 1998. The grapes are harvested by hand, the pressing is done by pneumatic press, and after the vinification, the wines are aged on lees for 10 months. This work gives birth to beautiful vintages to discover during a commented tasting.

In the Florival valley, the Cave et Boutique Wolfberger is a warm and friendly place. Alexia and Pascal welcome you to this small cellar where you can discover Wolfberger wines as well as LUCIEN ALBRECHT brand wines. The boutique also offers an in-store shopping and pick-up service.

The Freyburger family owns a 24-hectare estate spread over four communes at the foot of Haut-Koenigsbourg: Bergheim (Grand Cru Altenberg), Rorschwihr, Rodern and Saint-Hippolyte. The estate harvests its grapes by hand, and obtained AB certification in 2011. Since 1982, the estate has been producing Crémant d'Alsace using the traditional method in blanc de blancs, blanc de noir, riesling and rosé bruts, as well as Vendanges Tardives and Grands Crus from excellent vintages, and delicious eaux-de-vie-maison. Clément Tempé represents the 7th generation of this family of winegrowers who have been settled on the lands of Ammerschwihr for centuries. Supported by his wife Fabienne, he constantly manages his vines which are planted on a privileged terroir: the Meywihr which was once a village near Ammerschwihr. Clément Tempé produces delicious vintages, notably a famous Meywihr Riesling. The pinot noir (aged in oak barrels or casks) is pleasantly fruity and is a great attraction for lovers of good Alsatian red wine. In addition to the famous Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Kaefferkopf and the 7 traditional grape varieties, you will find at this winegrower's estate a very attractive Alsace crémant as well as delectable eaux-de-vie.

This family estate has been practicing viticulture since the ^17th century on 8 hectares. The vineyards are located in 3 communes: Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé and Zellenberg, with parcels in the Grands Crus Rosacker (riesling) and Froehn (gewurztraminer). The grapes from the Clos Saint-Ulrich (sloping clay-granitic soil) are renowned for producing an excellent Riesling. Visits of the vineyard and the cellar and tasting organized on request. This beautiful family estate of 7.30 ha is run by Etienne and Katia Simonis. They own plots of land on the terroirs of the Grands Crus Kaefferkopf and Marckrain, on the localities of Vogelgarten and Katzenstegel (Le Clos des Chats). With infinite patience, Etienne Simonis elaborates varietal wines, reserve wines, terroir wines, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. As well as Tangerine, an unusual orange wine made from pinot gris macerated and aged in barrels. Also to be discovered: organic Alsace wine vinegars aged in barrels for 10 years!

This small family property is exploited since 3 generations with rigor and passion. Today, the vineyard is managed using sustainable agriculture and extends over 2 km around Pfaffenheim. During your visit, you will be invited to taste, in a warm cellar, different wines elaborated with love: Sylvaner, Muscat, Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir Rosé, Riesling Grand Cru Steinert, Crémant Brut Blanc de Noir... Special mention to the intense Riesling "Cuvée Rebelle" 2019 with tasty citrus notes, rated 91/100 by La Revue du Vin de France!

HVE-certified, this family estate spreads harmoniously over the surrounding hills: on the Elsbourg (riesling, pinot noir) and Kastelweg (pinot gris) lieux-dits, but also on the terroirs of the Grands Crus Hatschbourg (gewurtztraminer and riesling) as well as Sporen (pinot gris) and Schoenenbourg (riesling) located on the Riquewihr banner. Philippe Steiner makes wines that lack neither character nor finesse, such as his Pinot Gris Kastelweg 2019, which won a gold medal at the ^50th Grand Concours des Vins d'Alsace in Colmar.

The Dopf and Irion families can be traced back to the ^16th century in the vineyard. They knew how to make their heritage bear fruit: the vineyard and the castle of Riquewihr, acquired in 1945. Since 1775, this 15 hectare estate has been producing expressive and easy-drinking wines with passion. The estate has been run for thirty years by Jean-Christophe (and his wife Valérie) whose desire to respect the terroirs led him to convert to organic and biodynamic farming over twenty years ago. We take advantage of the ancestral cellar to taste his wines. We love the Kronenbourg Riesling, 93/100 by Wine Enthusiast, a mineral wine with notes of citrus and honey, or the Crémant d'Alsace Extra-Brut grande cuvée with an elegant nose and fine bubbles.

If you're looking for natural wines, you've come to the right place! Jérôme François ploughs the soil in his vineyard with Ardennes horses, and grazes the grass with Ouessant sheep. Their droppings provide him with a natural fertilizer. He produces biodynamic vintages that resolutely break away from traditional Alsatian appellations. An excellent recommendation: his wines feature on the menu of La Table d'Olivier Nasti in Kaysersberg!

The Muré family has been cultivating vines in Rouffach since 1650. In 1935, Alfred Muré acquired and replanted the 12 hectares of Clos Saint-Landelin, whose potential he had foreseen. He thus enriched his estate with an exceptional terroir, which has since been cultivated as a monopoly. Véronique and Thomas have been managing this superb family estate biodynamically since 2013. An exceptional wine to discover: Riesling Grains Nobles Clos Saint-Landelin 2016 (18.5/20 - Bettane & Desseauve 2021).

Michel Froehlich is the heir to a wine-growing tradition that dates back to the 1900's. He passionately runs his family estate of 12 ha which benefits from a wide range of terroirs due to its distribution over 4 communes. He manages his vines using environmentally friendly viticulture and produces fine quality wines with an undeniable character. He vinifies the 7 Alsatian grape varieties in 6 ranges: Tradition, Special Cuvées, Grands Crus, Late Harvest, Crémants d'Alsace. During your visit, you will be able to discover a Muscat Elégance (fresh and fruity), a Pinot Noir Rouge de Rouge (nose of red fruits and cherries, tannin with a woody side) or a superb Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives (notes of candied fruits and pineapple, very good ageing potential). But Michel Froehlich is not only a skilled winegrower: he is also a seasoned beekeeper who markets a fine collection of Alsace honeys from his Apiary in the Kastenwald!
