Petite Cité de Caractère is 113 m high, overlooking the Couesnon valley. Founded in 1223 by Pierre de Dreux, Duke of Brittany, this medieval town has preserved traces of its past, with the keep and ramparts of the ancient castle. Paul Féval wrote of it as "Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier, the old town with its picturesque gables on the mountain slope". Near the ruins, the pond is ideal for fishing or picnicking by the water's edge. Also worth a visit is the imposing neo-Romanesque church of Saint-Aubin (19th-20th centuries), and the Haute-Sève forest, home to 5 listed menhirs.
