Listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site (ranked second for its beauty), this absolutely unique village is visited by over a million people every year. Founded in the 9thcentury , a monastery grew up here, and in 1050 welcomed the relics of Saint Mary Magdalene. Pilgrims flocked to the site, and the town grew over the centuries. The beauty of the site and the charm of its narrow streets make it a must-see, with its many art galleries, flea markets, delicatessens and fine restaurants, not to mention the breathtaking panorama from the basilica gardens. Don't leave here without enjoying it.
