In Pierre-Perthuis, the Cure flows in the centre of the village, under the pretty Thernos bridge which can be seen in the film La Grande Vadrouille. The village takes its name from the pierced rock Petra Perthuis (six metres high, eight metres wide) which overlooks the river and at the foot of which many tools from Prehistory have been found. It is also here that a fortified castle was built in the 10th century, of which only the remains of an access door have been preserved. However, with the stones of this one, a fortified house was erected around 1500. Nowadays, Pierre-Perthuis is a holiday resort, particularly thanks to the water sports activities it offers
