This small commune offers its inhabitants the opportunity to live in the countryside while working in Chalon-sur-Saône, 20 minutes away by car. The Maison de la Forêt et du Bocage is now only open to groups, subject to prior booking, but it still bears witness to life in Bresse in the past and to trades that have now disappeared. Around Saint-Martin, you'll find some interesting sights, such as the hamlet of La Madeleine, home to the remains of a Maison de Lune. Built in a single night, this house became the property of its builders in the early hours of the morning. Also south of Saint-Martin, the Gabrot mill is a fine example of Bresse construction.
