The last hamlet in North Macedonia, south of the western shore of Lake Prespa, Konjsko is completely isolated along the border. It lies on the Gorna Prespa peninsula, shared with Albania, and is dominated by the small Prečna massif that culminates at Mount Visoki, 1,293 m above sea level. The last inhabitants live from fishing and tourism. Konjsko is the closest town to Golem Grad. Two fishermen can take you to visit the country's only island, located some 4 km to the south, along the watershed with Albania. Konjsko also has a hotel and two beaches: the one on the edge of the hamlet is mediocre, but the one along the road from Stenje is superb, with white sand, translucent water and very few bathers. Finally, 1.5 km south of the hamlet (GPS: 40.897500, 20.984722), there's a remarkable little rock church painted in 1361: the Saints-Pierre-et-Paul chapel (Црква Св. Петар и Павле). But this one is only accessible by ropes down a 20m-high cliff.
