On the border of the Seine-Maritime and the Eure, in the heart of the Roumois plateau, the charming town of Bourgtheroulde reveals a fascinating history. After passing through the hands of Théroulde, a Viking descendant, the village was sold to Guillaume Le Roux at the very end of the 15th century. From its rich past, the town has preserved a number of thatched cottages, a few castles and the former home of Hector Malot, who grew up here. Between its commercial street where independent stores flourish, its hiking trails, its monuments of interest and its proximity to the forest of La Londe, one thing is sure: Bourgtheroulde does not lack attraction.
