The village of Nobsa is renowned throughout the country for its textile crafts. It is the place to get a traditional ruana, a kind of poncho made of pure virgin sheep wool, generally measuring 1.50 m x 1.40 m and weighing around 2.5 kg. Nobsa celebrates every year, at the end of May or beginning of June, the World Ruana Day. Its craftsmen try to enter the Guinness record by weaving the largest ruana in the world! You can also buy very cheap woolen sweaters and hats that can be very useful if you don't have warm clothes to explore the region and especially the Páramo de Ocetá.
