This natural reserve of almost 7,000 hectares is located 15 km northeast of Villa de Leyva. With altitudes between 2,400 m and 3,800 m, it is dotted with lagoons of glacial origin, including the famous sacred lagoon of Iguaque, the "cradle of humanity" in Muisca mythology. A sustained hike of about 6 hours allows you to discover the ecosystem of the Andean forest, then higher up the páramo, from 3,100 m of altitude.
