The Luhasoo reserve was created in 1981 and today represents around 700 ha of protected nature. You can easily visit it by walking along the 4.5 km trail, which crosses peat bogs, skirts a lake and takes in part of the forest... It's a lovely walk that's easily accessible to families. The Luhasoo reserve includes the country's largest peat bog. It's also possible to visit the area via agencies, to be guided and learn more about the flora and fauna. For more information, contact the Tartu or Otepää tourist offices.
