On the last foothills of the Bertí cliffs, at an altitude of 500 metres, Sant Feliu de Codines appears at the heart of a rugged landscape of rocks, pine groves and water springs. This long village has two bell towers. At the Can Xifreda Municipal Museum, you will learn from an interesting archaeological collection that the area was occupied as early as the Paleolithic period. But the centrepiece of its collections is none other than the banner of the Orfeó Feliuà, which is said to have been made by Gaudi around 1900. On the last Sunday in September, the inhabitants of the village also organise the competition for the biggest squash at the Fira de la Calabaza: some of them can weigh up to 400 kilos!
