This charming village lies between the Montseny Natural Park and the Vallès Oriental plain. Its territory stretches to the southernmost slope of the Pla de la Calma, culminating at the top of the Turó del Samont, at 1,272 metres above sea level. Its historic centre, with its narrow streets, is presided over by the Gothic church of Sant Pere de Vilamajor, formerly known as the "Cathedral of El Vallès". There is a beautiful network of footpaths to be followed from the village, including the sumptuous "Camino del Pi Novell", which joins the GR-7 and GR-5. On the1st weekend in November, the medieval fiesta of Vilamagore celebrates the royal past of Sant Pere de Vilamajor. Don't miss it if you visit the area at the beginning of November!
