Between the Brenner Pass and the city of Innsbruck, Steinach am Brenner lies at an altitude of 1,049 m, in the Wipptal valley. It is one of the main towns in the Wipptal, easily accessible from Innsbruck or Italy by freeway or train. The gondola quickly brings families and sports enthusiasts to the Bergeralm ski area (28 km of downhill slopes), where a wide range of activities are on offer in summer and winter alike.
