Volders is known for its St. Charles Church (Karlskirche), one of its landmarks visible from the motorway. Its belfry is so high that you can see all the way to the Bavarian border. The Friedberg and Aschach castles are further evidence of the eventful history of the area, which has been inhabited since prehistoric times. The area is home to one of the most important archaeological sites in Tyrol, which bears witness to the life of the villagers over 2,000 years ago. A 10km walking tour allows you to explore these historic sites on foot. Volders is also well known as a starting point for ski tours and for the nearby Volderberg toboggan run.
