962 inhabitants. Calders is a rural municipality in the county of Moianès whose economy was mainly based on the cultivation of vines and cereals. Today, it is mainly a place of secondary residence. There are the ruins of a castle dating back more than a thousand years, crowning a hill overlooking the valley of the Calders river, which gave its name to the town, but also, in a pastoral and forest setting, the so-called del Tàpies spring into which a waterfall flows, not far from 30 metres high. Finally, it houses an atypical cultural centre preserving surprising lime kilns, unique in the region, but also contemporary creations whose themes are related to the nature of the surroundings.
