Patnem is a small beach to the south of Palolem, just a few minutes' walk away. It has a more bohemian atmosphere and the tourist season runs from November to May. Outside this period, you won't find any restaurants. Inexpensive guesthouses can be found on the way to the beach. There are a few bar-restaurants on this small but pleasant beach, most of which provide deckchairs for their customers. Further south, the wild and photogenic beach of Rajbagh, situated behind a small river, is home to a luxury resort, the Lalit. Further south still, we reach the border with Goa to arrive in the state of Karnataka.
