Access by a land road on foot or by bus, or by boat from Paraty. In the past, the small hamlet of Paraty Mirim has been a major commercial port. There are still some ruins and the church Nossa Senhora da Conceição, the oldest of Paraty. It is close to a reserve of Guarani indigenous people that can be visited. The beach is nice and well attended by the Schooners. The visit of the Indian community is certainly a time of travel in space and time.
