From Achao, don't miss a visit to Villa Quinchao, a tiny little village nestled against the beach. Its church, the Señora de Gracia, was built in the 18th century but was not completed until 1880. It has also been declared a World Heritage Site, and at 53 metres long and 18 metres wide, it is the largest church in the archipelago. It was restored several times during the 19th century and, when it was on the verge of collapse in 2006, it was closed until 2010 for a long period of restoration. Every year, on December 8, a pilgrimage is held there: the Fiesta de la Virgen de la Gracia.
