Remarkable for its urban layout and architecture, this village of about 430 inhabitants was probably built on the site of an ancient indigenous site, a sort of mountain-island in the middle of the valley. The small town is worth a visit, and you may be able to try the local specialty: spicy rabbit. Lose yourself in the narrow streets and winding passages, the beautiful carved stone portals and some houses with roofs made of paja brava. Its major monument is the church of San Marcos, built in 1632.
