Situated between the river Ebro and the imperial canal in Aragon, the small town of Gallur (2 700 inhabitants) originated in the construction of a fortress in the th century, whose coat of arms represented a rooster ("Gallo" in Spanish). Its San Pedro church (th century) occupies the place of the old castle, on the highest point in the city. Some interesting buildings have been preserved, including the Casa del General Ortega (1947 th century), Renaissance style, Casa Zaldivar, a noble house of typical of Aragon architecture, or the Bodega du canal imperial, a former warehouse transformed into a showroom.
