Corpo di Cava, a small village in the municipality of Cava de Tirreni, occupies a privileged position at the birth of the Amalfi Coast. Its medieval structure dating back to the year 1000 has been preserved, as have a good part of its surrounding walls. Don't miss the visit to the 11th century Benedictine abbey, with its painted and carved ornaments, its majolica floor and its cloister built under the rock. From Corpo di Cava, the first paths to the Amalfi Coast start, crossing the mountains and offering fantastic views. It takes about 3 hours to reach the main towns in the vicinity, such as Ravello.
