The municipality of Ischia is divided into two parts, although they are only one kilometre apart: Ischia Porto, where the port is located, and Ischia Ponte, originally a fishing village, which takes its name from the bridge that, until the seventeenth century, linked the Aragonese castle to the town. Ischia is the municipality with the largest population on the island and offers a wide range of tourist services. It is made up of shopping streets with pastel-coloured houses, numerous hotels and typical restaurants, which offer fresh fish. Of course, in the evening you will also find several bars and clubs to party. There is also the sublime beach, Spiaggia dei Pescatori, not to be missed, which is located further east. This one will offer you a moment of relaxation and a beautiful panorama on the colorful fishing boats.
