On the banks of the Rio Foghe, this village has some typical Campidano houses, built in mud bricks. You can also admire the Casa Carta, a 17th century mansion. The numerous nuraghes that dot the area are evidence of a very ancient settlement. The fertile lands of Riola Sardo continue to contribute to the wealth of the city. Fruits, vegetables and vines are widely cultivated. The vernaccia, a very fragrant white wine, is a perfect accompaniment to shellfish and fish. If San Martino has the honors of the city and its church, it is the saints Joachim and Anne who are celebrated every July 26.
