Located in a geo-mineral park at an altitude of 812 m, Mount Arci is renowned for its extraordinary mineral deposits. Its volcanic entrails are brimming with obsidian, the stone that has brought many peoples to the shores of Sardinia. the "black gold" of prehistory, as it was called, Sardinia having the largest deposit. The park is covered with holm and cork oaks, and its vegetation is home to a population of wild boar, foxes, wild cats... The mountains also abound in mineral water springs. Some of these waters are bottled and sold under the names Aquafria and Sennisceddu.
