Santa Giusta is a small town of 5,000 inhabitants, 3 km south of Oristano and 90 km northwest of Cagliari. It is worth a visit to the basilica of Santa Giusta, which overlooks the town from the hill. It is one of the most beautiful Romanesque buildings in Sardinia. At the entrance of the village, you can also pass in front of the Stagno di Santa Giusta, a pond that still attracts fishing lovers. It is also here that you can see the is fassonis (reed boats typical of the Oristano area) during the Is Fassonis regatta which takes place every summer at the end of July and beginning of August. Not to be missed!
