Between the very touristic areas of Senegambia and Bakau, lies the village of Fajara. Here you can enjoy its peace and quiet, and its hotels and restaurants that are famous throughout Gambia. A true haven of peace, where our taste buds are awakened! The city is also home to the Medical Resaerch Center, a World War II cemetery and a military base. Near the beach, the once famous golf club is now poorly maintained. There are more bird watchers than golfers! Punctuated by several water points, the site is indeed popular with many species of birds. From Banjul, you can take a shared taxi to Fajara or a private taxi.
