Just a few km from the historic site of Caesarea, Jisr Az-Zarqa is a fishing village, one of the few Arab villages on the coast. Here you'll find a beautiful mosque and plenty of places to enjoy falafels or take a short break. From here, the beach is deserted and very pleasant, making it an hour's walk to the site of Caesarea, along the beautiful National Israel Trail. Two interesting nature reserves lie just outside the village: Tel Tanninim to the west and Taninim Nature Reserve to the north-west. The latter offers a great opportunity to discover the crocodile river, Nahal Taninim (in Hebrew) or Wadi az-Zarka (in Arabic).
