Netanya is a city of 210,000 inhabitants, popular with tourists, especially French, who come to enjoy its 11 km of sandy beaches. So it's hardly surprising that a large part of the population is French-speaking. A seaside town par excellence, most of its daily activity revolves around its central square, Atzmaut Square, and the seafront promenade. The atmosphere is relaxed, and you'll enjoy strolling between the many cafés, boutiques and restaurants. From here, you can walk up Herzl Street to the bus station on Sderot Binyamin. Beyond that, the city is mainly occupied by high-rise residential buildings.
