Crossed by the Ternin river, Alligny-en-Morvan is a beautiful place in the heart of the Morvan. In this lung of greenery, between rolling hills and thick forests, the village of Morvandiau is located east of the Nièvre, directly bordering the Côte-d'Or. The identity of the town, like that of the Morvan, has been shaped by the history of the nannies and children of the Public Assistance: indeed, since the end of the 18th century, thousands of children, women, families have been touched by this special destiny, a moving story recounted by the Museum of Nurse Alligny. The village is also the starting point for pleasant walking tours.
