Arnay-le-Duc is a charming, flower-filled town with many facets. Situated at the crossroads of the Auxois and Morvan regions, this ancient medieval town has always been a place of passage, trade and exchange with the cities of the Aedui. It has preserved a remarkable historical heritage, with the Saint-Laurent church (1288), the medieval Motte Forte tower, whose renovation should be completed this summer, the château des Princes de Condé (late 15th century) and the magnificent Maison Bourgogne, which you can visit at the tourist office. Enough to delight lovers of old stones! The town is also a city of culture, with many art galleries and exhibitions organized at the Café des Arts or the tourist office. The Musée régional des Arts de la Table confirms the town's tradition of hospitality and gastronomy. Each year, it presents an exhibition highlighting the table and its components. You can also (re)discover the history and route of the RN6 through its museum. The town's 1,500 inhabitants enjoy nature, with the Etang de Fouché, which has been awarded the Pavillon Bleu label, and numerous hiking and biking trails. When it comes to gastronomy, this is the home of the Confrérie de la Poule-au-pot du bon roi Henri IV! The members of this group promote the riches of the Pays d'Arnay-Liernais and the products made in the region. In short, this is a city rich in activities, so enjoy your discovery!
