With 7,000 inhabitants and five villages, Gesves is one of the smallest communes in south-east Namur. The landscape is rural, dominated by meadows and woods, charming villages, a few imposing private castles, the Samson and numerous streams and the Goyet caves. Château de Gesves dates back to the 14th century. Mozet is one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia": Basseille farm, Saint-Lembert church, Mont-Sainte-Marie chapel. The Art Trail crosses Gesves. Here you can discover some very interesting works (Les Nids, Cathédrale de lumière, Sans Entrave...). Gesves is home to a national equestrian school.
