The birthplace of Adolphe Sax - inventor of the saxophone - is wedged between the Meuse and the rocks, giving it a picturesque face. It counts 12 000 souls and includes twelve villages. Dinant is turned towards tourism. In addition to the omnipresent nature, caves and caverns offering a leap in time, there is a citadel, castles and gardens, a famous abbey, various museums, a traditional wood-fired brewery. As a souvenir, you can take home some beers and the delicious "couque de Dinant", hard to the tooth but soft in the mouth. The aquatic carnival, the Régate des Baignoires (August 15) can be enjoyed from the Charles de Gaulle bridge or from the Croisette.
