Close to the centre of Dinant, opposite Leffe Abbey, the Confessional is housed in a house of character with exposed stone walls, carefully decorated with pretty red and white checkered tablecloths. The terrace is particularly pleasant in summer. The plate is beautiful and Philippe Gérard does everything to make it gourmet. The menu is inspired by fresh products of the moment cooked in the old-fashioned way according to recipes of traditional French gastronomy. Game in season. Typical and unmissable for a regional immersion of yesteryear.

Big disappointment for a restaurant that spoke in praise for us.
Asparagus = (number 3) served a bland sauce, hardly tender kidneys in a juice without particular flavour and to top it all off the bill that it was well built...

Les plats sont généreux, délicieux et réalisés avec des produits frais. Le chef prend plaisir à renouveler régulièrement sa carte en fonction des trésors qu'il a été chercher au marché au petit matin. On s'est émerveillés de tous les plats de l'entrée au dessert, servis dans une vaisselle authentique, cassolette en céramique, etain, pour le plaisir des yeux et du goût. Je recommande sans réserve cette très belle adresse . Déco sincère et sans chichis, chef talentueux et engagé… Rare
