Historical village currently with 740 inhabitants, located in the Douix valley, at the foot of the hill dominated by the old fortified castle and guarded to the northeast by the Signal de Mâlain, or Aiguë rock, which rises to 600 m and whose panorama, where the curves of Mont Chauvin, the Chassagne woods and the Perrigny hill emerge, embraces, downstream from Pont-de-Pany, the Ouche valley which slopes towards Dijon. Upstream, we can see the Mesmont hillock and the heights of Sombernon. The site is dotted with historical testimonies with its prehistoric cave, its Gallo-Roman town and villas, its medieval castle, its few 18th and 19th century houses, which have escaped denaturing restorations and are typical of rural housing in the Sombernon area.
