Approximately 400 inhabitants who retain some beautiful examples of Indiana architecture (houses built by Asturians who had enriched themselves thanks to trade in the Americas) as well as many hórreos. Every year, the last Sunday of August, the inhabitants carry out a pilgrimage to the Santa María de Riégala Hermitage on the occasion of the Regalina festivities, which are accompanied by parades of carrots and folk dances. Also a small market of local products, on the 3 rd Sunday of the month, on the parking lot near the bar El Casino.
