It will delight lovers of very pretty villages, as it is an exception to the rule of galloping urbanization that prevails on this part of the coast. Built on a rock, Puerto de Vega has preserved its crenellations, threatened by a project to enlarge the centre. Its fishing port offers a picturesque setting with its small colourful boats, fishermen's houses and beautiful Amerindian homes. The customs and the Trelles house date from the 18th century. The church of Santa Marina is baroque even in its altarpieces. To appreciate all the charm of this village, head for the Mirador de la Riva, from where you can enjoy beautiful views.
