Las Marías is a rather remote village, located between the west and the center of the country. It can be reached without too much difficulty through Mayagüez from the south, and through San Sebastián from the north. Las Marías is one of the first mountainous towns encountered in the west when heading towards the central mountain range. Its town is very small. The only points of interest are a few haciendas, if you can visit them at all. The city is only accessible if you travel by car. San Sebastian is less than 20 km away, Maricao 10 km. If you feel like taking a dip, the beaches of Añasco and Cabo Rojo are not that far away.
