This small town, founded in 1883 and located 37 km north of Ponce, is the perfect opportunity to discover the past of the Taino Indians, the first occupants of the island before the Spaniards. It is also an opportunity for nature lovers to find themselves in the heart of Puerto Rico's tropical forest. Magnificent walks (mountains, natural pools, waterfalls, dense vegetation...) are organized in the natural reserve of Toro Negro. You can experience the second longest zip line in the world (2.4 km), while enjoying a beautiful panorama. The village of Jayuya is also called by the Puerto Ricans "la capital indigena".
