Known as the city of sugar(la ciudad del azúcar, the city of sugar), it has long been a key economic engine in Puerto Rico. Marked by the aftermath of the hurricane in September 2017, the area has very little tourism. It is here, to help the population of Yabucoa, that many volunteers have been mobilized. The coast, wild, is superb. The lighthouse of Punta Tuna is an excellent starting point, especially since the road 901 which leads there marks the end of the panoramic road which crosses the country from east to west or the opposite. For beach lovers, the beaches of Guyanés, Lucía and El Cocal are the most popular.
