A national park of 120 hectares, a magnificent place to walk and observe many birds. After passing through a lush forest, you will also find one of the most beautiful beaches in Kerry. From there, you can get to Abbey Island. Also look for an Ogham stone (stone with letters of the old Irish alphabet engraved on it). It is located on the left hand side of the road leading to Derrynane House, the home of the famous Daniel O'Connell (1775-1847), nicknamed "The Liberator", known for his commitment to Irish independence by peaceful means.
