Dursey Island is a small piece of land measuring just 6.5 km by 1.5 km, known as the most westerly inhabited island in Europe! Dursey offers great hiking opportunities (the Beara Way circles the island for 11 km). You'll spot many birds and, if you're lucky, dolphins.From Windy Point, the Cable Car (Ireland's only cable car) drops visitors off on the island. It runs daily from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm from November to February and from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm from March to October.
