The Pays de Herve, although increasingly gained by urbanization, remains a green region, made of groves, hedges, orchards and beautiful villages. A few kilometres east of the country of Herve, we cross this famous linguistic border between the Latin world and the Germanic world. The municipalities of Welkenraedt and Plombières are the last francophone communes. At the Three Borders site, in Gemmenich are the Three Terminals and a panoramic tower that allows you to see the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium at your feet! Herve cheese is the only one possessing the protected appellation of origin.
