Larochette's Luxembourg name is Fiels (Fels), meaning "rock" in German. Its castle, now partly in ruins, stands on this rocky outcrop overlooking the Ernz Blanche. In the past, the village was a leading centre of the textile industry, with fabric and clothing factories. Today, it's mainly a tourist destination.
