7 km north-east of Verviers, you reach the pretty village of Limburg, the former capital of the Duchy of Limburg. Completely deprived of its old role, the town, located 75 m from the bed of the Vesdre, dominates the entire landscape. At the top of the old ramparts, the rounded hills parade, dotted with trees dotted with trees, can be seen. Limburg is a medieval city, of which Louis XIV blew the castle in 1675. The village retains beautiful remains. St. George's Church plants its Gothic choir on the edge of the steep slope; The place of the same name is a site over time, with its galets of the Vesdre and its ancient th and th centuries houses. The old Maison de Ville, called «Arvô», presents a model of Limburg on the ground floor in 1632, as well as art art exhibitions (from May to September) on the first floor.
